Anne Murphy is a financial management professional with more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She specializes in improving organizations’ financial literacy that informs planning and decision making, as well as developing multi-year financial models. Prior to joining PRA, she owned an independent consulting practice focused on the financial management and strategic planning needs of nonprofit organizations. She has extensive expertise assessing and implementing financial policies and reporting systems. In addition to serving as CFO for numerous nonprofits, Anne was Senior Associate and Financial Management Program Director at a Boston-based nonprofit consulting and research firm. Prior to her consulting work, Anne was the Director of Administration and Finance at a Boston-area nonprofit community development corporation and property management company, while her earlier career was in banking with a community development financial institution.
Anne has taught nonprofit financial management courses at Northeastern University and the Heller School for Social Policy and Impact at Brandeis University. She has also presented various financial management workshops, advancing the work of a variety of stakeholders across New England. Anne holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at Simmons College and a BS in Business Management from Ithaca College.
