Priya Dixit

Priya Dixit is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Virginia Tech. She has written about terrorism and political violence in Nepal, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her first book, The State and ‘Terrorists’ in Nepal and Northern Ireland (Manchester University Press, 2015), analyzed how states categorize events and actors as “terrorist” and the implications of such categorization. Her most recent book, Race, Popular Culture, and Generically used to describe factions of right-wing politics that are outside of and often critical of traditional conservatism.
