Corporate & Economic Right
PRA has long followed the ideologies advocated by the Economic Right. The claim to individual liberties is often used to justify economic models like free markets, limited government, and privatization, as well as policies that roll back labor and environmental regulations. The resulting economic precarity sets up the conditions for the Far Right to deploy Blaming a person or group wrongfully for some problem, especially for other people’s misdeeds. Scapegoating deflects people’s anger and grievances away from the real causes of a social problem onto a target group demonized as malevolent wrongdoers. The Corporate Right refers to those corporations who influence social and political life in order to protect or advance economic interests through right-wing political strategies and tactics. This translates to the capture/occupation of state institutions, allowing corporate interests to effectively dictate or heavily influence the policies and operations of government.
