Alexander Reid Ross

Research Fellow

Alexander Reid Ross has spent over a decade working for environmental and social justice. Engaging with BIPOC, An umbrella acronym standing for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning. Learn more +, and migrant solidarity throughout the 2010s as a scholar and activist, he received a Master’s in Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Critical Thought with distinction from the European Graduate School in 2015 and a PhD from Portland State University’s Earth, Environment, Society program in 2020. Currently an Adjunct Professor in Geography at Portland State University and a Graduate Fellow at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right, his articles on the transnational far right have appeared in such publications as Haaretz, the Oregon Historical Quarterly, and Zeit Online. His book, Against the Fascist Creep, made the Portland Mercury’s list of best books of 2017, and his cartographic efforts mapping intimidation of anti-racist protesters in 2020 were profiled in CityLab.
