This year saw the first breakaway meeting of Southern Baptists who oppose the fundamentalist takeover of their denomination.
Bruce Prescott
Dr. Bruce Prescott has been Executive Director of Mainstream Oklahoma Baptists for the past nine years. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Phillips Theological Seminary and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the University of Oklahoma.
His weekly call-in talk radio program, “Religious Talk” airs on radio stations around the state of Oklahoma and in podcasts on the internet. Dr. Prescott also serves on the National Executive Board for Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
His daily weblog Mainstream Baptist, is profiled as an “Agent of Change” in Melissa Rossi’s recent book, What Every American Should Know About Who’s Really Running the World.
