James Howard Hill Jr., Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Religion at Boston University whose work explores the relationship between the Black study of religion, popular culture, political theory, race, and the haunting dimensions of faith and public life. His scholarship engages figures such as Michael Jackson alongside broader questions of religion, memory, haunting, and Black cultural production.
