When two attorneys from opposing sides of the political spectrum argue that some issues transcend the differences between liberals and conservatives we must remember that, as nice as it sounds, none of us can afford the luxury of imagining ourselves above the political fray.
Jesse Lava
Jesse is a political activist based in Chicago. Now a communications consultant for progressive organizations, Jesse co-founded Faithful Democrats in 2006 and was its director until 2008. He has also served as special assistant to former Democratic National Committee Chair David Wilhelm and a staffer on political campaigns across the country. He graduated from Wesleyan University and will begin pursuing degrees in public policy and theological studies at Harvard University in the fall of 2009. He blogs at jesselava.com.
