John J. McNeill
John McNeill, a former Jesuit theologian has been involved in ministry to gay Christians for the past fourty years. He gave retreats for gay Christians for 25 years at Kirkridge, an ecumenical retreat center. He is one of the founders of New York Dignity, an organization for gay and lesbian Catholics.
He has authored five books on gay liberation theology and gay spirituality: The Church and the Homosexual, Taking a Chance On God, Freedom, Glorious Freedom and an autobiography, Both Feet Firmly Planted In Midair: My Spiritual Journey. He has a new book in the press, Sex: As God Intended It To Be; A Study of Human Sexuality As Play, and a documentary in process entitled Uncommon Jesuit. He can be reached at jjmcneill@aol.com
