Lauren Barbato

Lauren Barbato is a doctoral student in religion and gender studies at Temple University, where she researches reproductive medicine and American Catholicism. As a journalist, she authored the book Faithful Providers: Stories and Reflections from the Frontlines of Abortion Care for Catholics for Choice and has covered reproductive politics for Ms. magazine, Bustle, Cosmopolitan, Conscience, and elsewhere. She currently serves as a member of the Vision Council for the Catholic church-reform nonprofit Call to Action.
