Matthew J Walton is the Aung San Suu Kyi Senior Research Fellow in Modern Burmese Studies at St Antony’s College. His writing has appeared in Politics and Religion, Journal of Burma Studies, Journal of Contemporary Asia, Journal of Contemporary Buddhism, and Asian Survey. He is a co-founder of the Myanmar Media and Society project and of the Oxford-based Burma/Myanmar blog Tea Circle and co-organizer and editor of the Oxford-Myanmar Policy Brief Series.
