Pierrette Hondagneu-Sotelo

Pierrette Hondagneu-Sotelo is Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Sociology at the University of Southern California. Her research has focused on gender and immigration, gender and informal sector work, transnational families, and most recently, on the ways religion is used in social movement A mass movement that seeks to transform society and challenge existing power relationships by means other than (but often including) the political electoral process.
