Hundreds of Jews, heads bowed in prayer, wearing yarmulkes and tallit, prayed in front of the White House as the March for Israel got underway Tuesday.
Christian nationalists and several right-wing media figures have embraced the war between Israel and Hamas as a sign of the End Times, claimed “the role of Christians is to convert the Jews,” and asserted that Christians must support Israel.
The “seven mountains” mandate is a strategy used by Christian supremacists in order to achieve societal dominion for God. They seek control over these seven spheres: business, government, family, religion, media, education, and entertainment.
Last week, House Republicans elected Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana as Speaker of the House. Johnson brings to the office some of the most extreme hard-right views in Congress on immigration and LGBTQ+ rights.
