Thousands of potential campaign volunteers will throng the halls of the A movement that emerged in the 1970s encompassing a wide swath of conservative Catholicism and Protestant evangelicalism. Learn more ’s Values Voter Summit in Washington D.C. tomorrow and Saturday — and Political Research Associates will be there too, blogging about how the Christian Right is framing this election.

The event already made headlines this week when sponsors told the media that Ann Romney would be a closing speaker, before backtracking following Romney campaign denials. But the activists will get a chance to hear Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan and a range of key Christian Right players at the podium of the Omni Shoreham Hotel near Dupont Circle.

On the program are a former Islamic “terrorist” now born again, a saline abortion survivor, Bishop Harry Jackson defending religious liberty against the “threat” of gay marriage, politicians Rep. Michelle Bachmann, Sen. Jim DeMint and Sen. Rand Paul, and Art Ally of the Timothy Fund, which helps Christian conservatives prepare financially for an America on the “precipice of moral, economic and ultimately spiritual collapse.”
