International Business Times: Utah LGBT Discrimination Law Backed By Mormon Church Comes With Concerns
The International Business Times covers the recent passage of a “compromise” non-discrimination/religious freedom law in Utah. PRA communications director Rose Ethington says that the bill is actually a Trojan Horse for the Religious Right’s agenda, by getting LGBTQ groups to provide an endorsement for the Right’s framework. “What good are the protections when you create a system that allows the protections to be taken away at any time?” Ethington also added “When you open Pandora’s box, it’s almost always impossible to close it again.”
