“To sum up the Court’s opinion, written by Trump-appointed Justice Neil Gorsuch, employment discrimination against LGBTQ people is now forbidden by federal law. The case, Bostock v. Clayton County, GA, is actually three cases consolidated into a two-part question: whether or not Title VII, the federal law prohibiting employment discrimination on the basis of sex (and other characteristics like race and color), should be interpreted to include sexual orientation and gender identity under the definition of “sex.” The answer to both is now a resounding YES!”
